A most surprising find, by the south edge of Alexandra Lake, Wanstead Flats. This plant does not appear to have been deliberately planted, at least from its location. It is near the east end of a group of Silver Birch, amongst other vegetation including soft rush and bramble. The nearest known specimens of this species are in the nearby City of London Cemetery, where it has been introduced to both the New and Old Crematorium Ponds. (see here)
